About Jonathan Rotman
Jonathan Rotman joined the Lobbyit team in August 2025 as the firm’s Government Relations Coordinator. He has a background in research and policy analytics, from working with legislative offices and political campaigns to government contractors and academic research centers. He brings a strategic and research-oriented approach to the team and is committed to providing actionable guidance for clients getting involved in the federal policy landscape.
Prior to joining Lobbyit, Jonathan worked with the Applied Research Laboratory for Intelligence and Security (ARLIS), conducting strategic research in support of clients in the defense community. He also worked with the geointelligence team at the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START), a DHS Emeritus Center of Excellence. In addition to his research background, he has served in various roles with federal and state-level elected officials, from advising campaign leaders to tracking legislation and federal policy developments.
Jonathan is a graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park, where he obtained a Masters degree in International Relations. Before this, he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE), also at the University of Maryland. He currently lives in Rockville, Maryland.
